Depending on your nationality, you may or may not need a visa to enter Guatemala. It is the participant's responsibility to take all necessary actions to obtain a visa if needed. While Connexus will procure a visa invitation letter, we do not guarantee approval of visa requests nor do we provide assistance if the visa request is denied. Do I need a visa to enter Guatemala?
Depending on your nationality, you may or may not need a visa to enter Guatemala. Some nationalities will be visa exempt, while others will need to go to the nearest consulate to receive their visa.
If you have a US residency or US Visa, you will not need to apply for a Guatemalan visa. Simply present your valid passport and US Visa at the airport upon arrival in Guatemala.
How do I apply for a visa?
The process to apply for a visa will depend on the country. Conference participants who are not nationals from visa-exempt countries will need to apply for a visa which covers conference attendees. Please see this website for more information on where and how to contact your nearest Guatemalan Consulate or Embassy.
Those applying for a Guatemalan visa will need to bring the following documents to their nearest Guatemalan consulate or embassy:
- Valid passport (no less than 6 months)
- 2 photographs
- Completed form provided by the Guatemalan Embassy/Consulate
- Visa Invitation Letter
- Copy of bank statements, credit cards, travel checks, etc.
- A personal interview will be conducted
How do I obtain a visa invitation letter for the conference?
To request a visa invitation letter, please fill out this Visa Letter Google Form with all the requested information. Connexus will only provide a visa letter once the participant is registered and we have received payment for the registration.
