Amidi has been committed to improving the lives of pastoral populations, especially across Northern Mali, since 1995 when he started working for TASSAGHT. He is now the Coordinator of TASSAGHT and Billital Maroobé Network's focal point in Mali, a sub-regional support organization for pastoralists. He has led projects in hard-to-reach areas and now ensures coordination of the STAMP project with the teams in the regions of Gao, Menaka, Timbuktu, Mopti, and Kidal.
